Tali Cosplay from Mass Effect by organicarmor Tali Cosplay from Mass Effect by organicarmor
These are armor pieces for a Tali cosplay (from Mass Effect) made of Organic Armor - an amalgam of latex, various textiles and acrylic paint. See the character here [link] This took about 3 months to make. Paul had to work out many engineering issues to make things comfortable and hang correctly through normal movement. It's tricky when the client lives 1000 miles away. Luckily I was about her size. It was a fun challenge (we love making custom cosplay pieces).

How much would a set like the one you've made here cost?

About 1500.00, not including the undergarment. It's a lot I know, but it took about 100 hours to make.

If I had that kind of money, I would hire you in an instant. As it stands, however, I will just need to make do on my own. ^^;

I find that every one else that does the helmet approach has the proportions wrong. The mask attempts always leave a little detail out. You may very well have hit the sweet spot between the two to add the detail with out the awkward proportions.

Thanks. Paul studied every image he could find very carefully. The helmet took 40+ hours with a couple of false starts.

awesome job, it turned out fantastic! I was thinking about making something similar myself, so would u mind me asking how you went about molding this? I'm trying to get ideas for different mediums I could use, and what u did has a really great look to it!

It's not a mold, it's constructed with foam and latex mostly. We cut a motorcycle helmet down for the visor.

The Visor tint looks pretty good. What did you guys wind up using to do that?

Thanks. We used a "smoke" colored motorcycle visor and cut it to fit. It took 2 tries to get it right.

Holy cow! I really can't wait to see how this progresses! I can already see the finished product! You have our backs!

Your imagination and detail are spot on. I mean, just figure out how to make your extremities (feet and hands) like that of a Quarian and your good. I don't want to hog your time, but could you inform me on how you are going to work on them appendages? I'm really curious to see what you think.

So far, the mask and the arm pieces look great. I want to see what kind of cloth and accessories your going to be placing on the suit once it's done...any colors your thinking of now? Maybe you should make multiple sets of different colored accessories; and you can wear whatever color you feel that day! lol

I'm keeping track of you, I can't wait to see what your coming up with! You got my back 100%, This is great! (Your suit is made of pure awesomeness.)
